"Leveraging Hong Kong Advantages, Deepening International Cooperation" Forum
The 2025 Central Government Work Report clearly supports Hong Kong in "deepen international exchanges and cooperation". In line with the national development strategy and to strengthen Hong Kong's role as a strategic hub for international exchanges and cooperation, the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (the CMA) will host the "Leveraging Hong Kong Advantages, Deepening International Cooperation" Forum on 9 May (Friday) at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. The forum will feature prominent speakers from the political, academic, and business sectors to explore new directions for Hong Kong's international development from multiple perspectives.
The forum is honored to have Mrs Regina Ip, the Convenor of the Non-official Members of the Executive Council, as the keynote speaker. A panel discussion, moderated by The Hon Jimmy Ng, Legco Representative of the CMA, will feature distinguished guests including:
- Professor the Hon William Wong, MH, Legislative Council Member and Associate Dean (External Affairs) of the Faculty of Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
- Professor Heiwai Tang, Associate Dean (External Relations) of The University of Hong Kong Business School
- Mr Robert Lok, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CMA Testing
- Mr Jeremy Sheldon, Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong
They will share insights on how Hong Kong can enhance its role in industry, talent, technology, trade, and international supply chains, contributing to the nation's goal of high-level opening-up and high-quality development.
