Summary:
 
The Labour Department (LD) launches the Good Employer Charter (GEC) 2024 featuring the theme of “Supportive Family-friendly Good Employer” to encourage employers of different trades and scales (including small and medium enterprises) to adopt employee-oriented good human resource management and family-friendly employment practices. Organisations accredited by the Panel of Judges as signatories of GEC 2024 would be:
 
  1. awarded the Certificate of GEC 2024;
  2. authorised to use GEC 2024 logo in the letterheads, publications and promotional materials for two years (for an organisation accredited as the signatories for three consecutive GEC (i.e. 2018, 2020 and 2024), its charter logo will be upgraded to a premium logo ); and
  3. listed in the signatory list of GEC 2024’s thematic website for public access.
 
Organisations also accredited by the Panel of Judges as effectively promoting family-friendly employment practices will be authorised to use the “Supportive Family-friendly Good Employer” logo for two years.
 
Please download the enrolment form (https://www.gec.labour.gov.hk/files/GEC_2024_Enrolment_form_E-version_Traditional_Chi.pdf), and return the completed form with copy of relevant documents for authentication (e.g. Business Registration Certificate, Certificate of Incorporation or other documents) to the Workplace Consultation Promotion Division of LD on or before 31 March 2024 by email (gec@labour.gov.hk), fax (2425 4132) or mail (Room 520, 5/F, Mongkok Government Offices, 30 Luen Wan Street, Mongkok, Kowloon).
