The 29th Hong Kong International Education and Careers Expo
To Bring Together Thousands of Leading Institutions and Premium Jobs

The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA) is organising the 29th Hong Kong International Education and Careers Expo (the Expo) on 8 and 9 July at Hall 3G, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. In addition to offering a diverse range of premium study choices, the Expo will provide visitors with an opportunity to explore various job openings and obtain advice on their career development, assisting them in planning their futures.

At today’s (3 July) press conference, Dr Allen Shi, President of the CMA, said, “The SAR government has charted a new path for Hong Kong, focusing on more diversified and higher value-added economic development. To transform our economy, achieve prosperity and meet the changing skill demands in a post-pandemic world, we need to accelerate the development of the local talent pool. By exploring the learning pathways and career opportunities available at the Expo, young people can gain a clearer understanding of the latest in-demand skills and jobs, which will enable them to take steps towards realising their aspirations and embracing lifelong learning.”

The Expo will showcase colleges and educational institutions from 24 countries and regions, including Hong Kong, the Mainland, and other popular study abroad destinations. It will serve as a one-stop platform for students, parents, working adults, industry professionals and the general public to gather information on various study options, including pre-university, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and vocational courses.

This year’s Expo will feature a Careers Square, where more than 40 organisations and companies will be seeking to fill over 2,000 vacancies. Prominent employers include Hong Kong’s five disciplinary forces, Hong Kong Labour Department and Hong Kong Airport Authority, as well as companies in various sectors, such as hospitality and tourism, catering, retail, commerce, health care and Chinese medicine.

Mr Ivan Sze, Vice President of the CMA and Chairman of CMA Exhibition Services, said, “Whether you are a fresh graduate or an adult in your early or mid-career phase, the Expo provides an excellent opportunity to research your target companies, seek advice from experts, access your suitability for available positions and even obtain initial interviews, all in one place. Attendees will also have the chance to receive assistance from experts in crafting and polishing their resumes.”

During the two-day Expo, more than 40 seminars will be conducted by college representatives and education counsellors, covering a wide range of practical topics, such as articulation pathways of universities in Hong Kong, the Mainland and other popular destinations, strategies for JUPAS selection, introductions to popular professional programmes, career opportunities in the Greater Bay Area and an introduction to the Holland Code job aptitude test.

The Expo is free to attend and will be open from 11:00am to 6:30pm
