Dr Allen Shi, President of the CMA remarked, “HKBPE has been a time-honoured tradition in Hong Kong for almost a century and holds fond memories for many Chinese people. This may explain why the Macau edition of HKBPE has been so well received by local people since its inception in 2016 and why it is now our most successful exposition outside Hong Kong. After losing three years to COVID-19, we are eager to meet again with both existing and new fans here in Macau. Now that all limits to crossing between Macau and Hong Kong have been eliminated, we are thrilled to return to this bustling city, and luckily, we are back in time to catch this holiday season.”
President Shi added, “We hope to make the expo not only an important window for the promotion of Hong Kong products to the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and other places in the world but also a signature annual tourism and shopping extravaganza in Macau.”
A huge variety of well-known Hong Kong products and brands, including food and beverages, household appliances, kitchenware, beauty and health care products, apparel and accessories, are brought together under one roof in the Fashion and Beauty Products Zone, Living and Household Products Zone, Leisure Food Zone and Health Preserving Food Zone.
The expo also comes with the “ ‘Hong Kong.IN.Brand Greater Bay’Macao Brandfest ”, a thematic exhibition zone co-hosted by the BDC and the CMA and sponsored by the Trade and Industrial Organisation Support Fund, Trade and Industry Department, the Hong Kong SAR Government. The organisers have handpicked over 20 of Hong Kong’s top brands - known for their outstanding innovations, designs or cultural distinctiveness - for display. As well as providing well-designed interactive experience activities, the zone reflects the values and collective image of Hong Kong brands: stylish, enterprising and culturally sophisticated.
Dr Edward Chan, CMA Vice President cum Chairman of the BDC said, “The vigorous growth and the huge market size of the GBA present immense potential for Hong Kong businesses. As the flagship project of the BDC under its “Brand Greater Bay”Vision, the“‘Hong Kong.IN.Brand Greater Bay’Macao Brandfest”aims not only to help Hong Kong enterprises take advantage of “Hong Kong Brands” to uplift their competitiveness in the GBA market, but also to promote the brand development of the whole region, driving its high-quality growth.”
To thank the residents of Macau for their continued support, our exhibitors are rolling out incredible discounts of over 40%, with some as high as 90%. A few goods are selling for only MOP $1, including soup pack, abalone, skincare products and toothpaste.
With amazing performances and fun activities for all ages, the expo provides an exciting and joyous setting for the entire family during Easter. For example, there will be singing, dancing and Chinese opera performances and handicraft workshops. This year, “To Be a Top Model” HKBPE’s Little Model Competition will be held for the first time.
Plenty of surprises are in store for visitors via lucky draws! Great prizes, with a total value of over MOP$400,000, await to spice up your shopping experiences, such as round-trip air tickets between Hong Kong to Taipei, hotel stays in Macau, Hong Kong buffet vouchers, kitchenware and electrical appliances.
The expo is open from 11 am to 8 pm from 7‒9 April and from 11 am to 7 pm on 10 April. Five free shuttle bus routes are offered at various points across the city.
