Experience a Gastronomic Delight:
Hong Kong Food Carnival Returns for its 10th Edition
The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA) is delighted to announce the highly anticipated return of the Hong Kong Food Carnival (“the Carnival”), set to take place at Kwai Chung Sports Ground from 28 October to 5 November. Celebrating its milestone of 10th staging, this year’s Carnival promises an extraordinary culinary extravaganza, captivating taste buds and creating unforgettable memories for both locals and tourists.
Dr Allen Shi, President of CMA, said, “We are thrilled to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hong Kong Food Carnival. As a token of our appreciation for the support of Hong Kong citizens over the years, we have prepared a multitude of culinary delights, entertainment, and surprises. As Hong Kong regains its vibrancy, we are confident that this event will be warmly embraced, just as it was before.”
Divided into four thematic zones, the Carnival will host an impressive array of over 300 booths, offering a tempting range of delectable food and beverages, dried seafood, groceries, electrical appliances, kitchenware, and healthcare products, all at attractive discounts ranging from 60% off to as high as 90% off. Visitors can also enjoy a selection of HK$1 products. Moreover, the organiser has curated an exciting assortment of lucky bags, enticing visitors with irresistible combinations of various products, all offered at remarkably attractive prices with discounts of at least 70% off the original price.
The centerpiece of the event, the long-awaited Yummy Food Zone, will transport visitors to a food lover’s paradise, reminiscent of a vibrant bazaar. It will showcase a hundred local and international cuisines and tantalising street food such as grilled meat skewers, Thai boat noodles, Taiwanese black pepper buns, Japanese grilled eel, oyster omelette, various Chinese dim sum and desserts, and more. Set meals are also available at discounts of up to 65% off, priced at HK$50, HK$70, and HK$100 respectively.
Beyond the gastronomic delights, the Carnival promises an immersive experience with an abundance of entertainment options. Cooking demonstrations of Hong Kong cuisine, engaging game booths, captivating handicraft workshops, and exciting stage performances are just a taste of what awaits attendees.
Prepare to be thrilled as the Carnival offers a selection of wonderful prizes for visitors to take home. 800 cups of complimentary ice-cream will be distributed during four different timeslots every day, along with souvenir hand fans, on a first-come-first-served basis. Lucky draws will also take place, offering prizes worth a total value of more than HK$1.2 million.
Adding to the excitement, the Carnival will coincide with the enchanting Halloween season, infusing an extra layer of fun and festivity into the event. Building on the success of previous editions, the organiser has gone the extra mile to create a spooky yet entertaining atmosphere, featuring a parade, costume dress-up party, engaging games and DIY workshops, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all visitors.
In support of the Hong Kong government’s initiative to boost the night economy, the Carnival’s opening hours will be extended until 9pm, starting from 11am. Admission is priced at HK$5, with free entry offered after 7pm.
Mr Ivan Sze, CMA Vice President cum Chairman of CMA Exhibition Services Limited, expressed his hopes for the Carnival to contribute to bolstering the economy, “I warmly invite everyone to join in this celebration of food, culture and togetherness, reigniting the vivid nightlife scenes of Hong Kong.”
