CMA 90th Anniversary Cup
To celebrate the 90th anniversary of The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA), The CMA was pleased to present the “CMA 90th Anniversary Cup” on 1 July at Sha Tin Racecourse to commemorate this special moment and to share with the general public the joy of the anniversary. About 250 guests attended the event including Non-Official Member of Executive Council The Hon Tommy Cheung and The Hon Kenneth Lau, Ms Salina Yan, Permanent Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury (Financial Services), Mr Zhou Qian, Deputy Director-General of Commercial Office of Economic Affairs Department, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R., Dr Bernard Chan、Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Chairman Mr Michael Lee, Steward Mr Lester Huang and Chief Executive Officer Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges; CMA President, Permanent Honorary Presidents, CMA Legislative Council Representative, Vice Presidents, Honorary Presidents, Executive and General Committee Members, Honorary General Committee Members, Chairmen and members of Ladies’ Committee and Youth Committee, CMA Members, as well as business leaders and elites from education sectors.
“CMA 90th Anniversary Cup” was arranged at the 4th race, at which Class 3 racing 1,000 metres. The champion went to “FLYING HIGH. President Dr Wingco Lo, CMA Legislative Council Representative, The Hon Jimmy Ng, and Executive Vice President Dr Ma Kai Yum presented the trophies to the winning Owner, the Trainer and Jockey respectively immediately after the race.
