Under the coordination of CMA Membership Affairs Committee and Small and Medium Enterprises Committee, the CMA joined hands with the Hong Kong Association of Banks, in organizing the Seminar on “Hong Kong’s Economic Outlook and New Measures to Support SMEs Financing”. At the Seminar, CMA President Dr Wingco Lo and HKAB Chairman Ms Christina Wong delivered welcome remarks, and Mr Shuang Ding, Head of Greater China & North Asia, Standard Chartered Bank, gave a speech on the latest trends of macroeconomic development. The second half of the Seminar featured a panel discussion chaired by Vice President Mr Dennis Ng, that discussed the latest nine measures of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and how the banking industry supported the financing of SMEs with representatives from HSBC, Bank of China Hong Kong, Standard Chartered and Hang Seng. The Seminar attracted an audience of over 100 representatives from enterprises and banks, including Vice President Dr Ellis Wong, Honorary Presidents Dr Michael Chan and Dr Chiu C B, Chairman of CMA Small and Medium Enterprises Committee Mr Johnny Yeung, as well as a number of General Committee Members and Convenors of Industrial Committees.
