CMA Launches a Series of Celebration Activities
To Commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the PRC and its 90th Anniversary

The year 2024 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the 90th birthday of the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA). To celebrate this special occasion, CMA is hosting a series of activities and programmes throughout the year to share the double happiness with the community.

CMA hosted a press conference today (20 June) to announce the details of more than 10 celebratory activities. In his speech, Dr Wingco Lo, President of CMA, emphasised that the association has always considered Hong Kong its home and prioritised the nation’s interests. He stated, “Over the years, CMA has been attentive to the global industrial and technological advancements, the national development and the shifting landscape of Hong Kong’s industry. We have constantly enhanced and expanded our services to assist the industry in adapting to various industrial transformations. In recent years, we have also ventured into a range of new services, including brand development, technology commercialisation, and sustainable development. These efforts aim to assist the businesses in embracing opportunities brought by the national development of new quality productive forces.”

Through this series of celebratory activities, Dr Lo hopes to engage the community in reviewing and celebrating the remarkable achievements of the country and CMA. By doing so, we can foster a collective pursuit of innovation, transformation, and development, unleashing a new and high-quality engine of economic growth.

CMA’s anniversary celebration activities span the entire year, from the beginning to the end, offering a highly diverse content. These include activities to explore business opportunities, community engagement, talent cultivation, charity events, and more. Among them, completion programmes include the sponsorship of the Correctional Services Department’s youth musical drama “Life Revitalisation GO Go Goal!” in January and a high-level forum on Hong Kong’s development of new quality productive forces held in April. Entering the second half of the year, more activities would be rolled out, including the following key projects:
