The 58th Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo Opens Today
Celebrating the CMA’s 90th Anniversary with Citizens

The 58th Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo (HKBPE) officially opened its door today (14 December) at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay. Organised by the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (the CMA), this highly anticipated annual shopping extravaganza runs until 6 January 2025, promising a rewarding festive experience filled with shopping joy and delightful gifts.
 
The expo commenced with a magnificent opening ceremony graced by distinguished guests, including Mr Paul Chan, Acting Chief Executive of the HKSAR; Mr Yin Zonghua, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr Li Yongsheng, Acting Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the HKSAR; Ms Starry Lee, member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and Member of Legislative Council; Mr Erick Tsang, Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs; Mr Algernon Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development; Ms Louise Ho, Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Mr Benson Kwok, Director of Immigration Department; Mr Wong Kwok Hing, Commissioner of Correctional Services; Mr Aaron Liu, Director-General of Trade and Industry, and the office bearers of the CMA.
 
Dr Wingco Lo, President of the CMA, exphasised that the HKBPE has made substantial contributions to society and the economy, consistently attuning to the pulse of Hong Kong’s economic and industrial development. He stated, “To align with the development of new quality productive forces and the silver economy, we will introduce ‘Silver Consumption Privileges’ and a carbon redemption scheme.” Dr Lo also hopes that the expo will assist in boosting Hong Kong’s mega event economy, providing momentum for market vitality.
 
This year’s expo features 11 thematic zones, offering a wide range of products including food and beverages, groceries and noodles, ginseng and dried seafood, healthcare products, kitchenware and electric appliances, as well as various international wines, catering to the diverse needs of visitors. Visitors can take advantage of three promotional periods to purchase over 500 selected products at discounts of up to 90% off and HK$1 special deals, allowing them to enjoy a fulfilling festival shopping spree for the New Year.

The Chillax Zone features a stylish bar and photo spots, offering a variety of wines and snacks. During public holidays and weekends, visitors can also enjoy live busking performances

 
To celebrate the CMA’s 90th anniversary, a giant birthday cake of over four metres tall and a Christmas tree have been set up at the expo as a photo spot for visitors
  Over 100 exhibitors are offering additional discounts of at least 5% off to Senior Citizen Card holders
  In addition to a wide range of products at discounts of up to 90% off and HK$1 special deals, some exhibitors are offering limited editions of “CMA’s 90th Anniversary Lucky Bags” at more than 50% off
 
Special Offers of the 58th Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo:
 
CMA 90th Anniversary Nine Surprise Rewards Prizes and gifts worth over HK$4 million in total will be distributed via the following means:
 
  • On the opening day (14 December), the first 180 visitors will receive free admission and a “CMA 90th Anniversary Lucky Bag” valued at HK$500.
 
  • From 14 to 28 December, citizens who post congratulatory messages for the CMA on HKBPE social media platforms will have a chance to win a luxury seven-day Singapore-Malaysia-Thailand cruise package with an ocean view cabin for two, worth over HK$53,000; eight merit prizes of Premium Poon Choi worth HK$2,388 each will also be awarded.
 
  • From 14 to 16 December, the first 1,000 Hong Kong permanent residents whose ID card names and numbers contain any four of the characters or numbers “C”, “M”, “A”, “9”, “0” and who have registered on the designated webpage and met the qualification criteria will receive mystery gift packs worth HK$130 each.
 
  • 90 sets of “Kiri French Cheese Bits” will be given away daily at 12nn, 2pm, 5pm and 7pm respectively.
 
  • The first 1,000 ticket purchasers each day will receive a special gift.
 
  • Visitors who follow and like HKBPE social media platforms and share activity posts can participate in the on-site tap game. Tapping at 9:00s can win the “Grand Prize”, or receive a lucky prize if they miss.
 
  • From 13 December 2024 to 5 January 2025, participants can enter the lucky draws on the HKBPE App, with exciting prizes totalling HK$100,000 up for grabs.
 
  • Admission ticket holders can participate in the “Vote to Win Big Prizes” by completing the lucky draw ticket found in the “Shopping Guide” booklet for a chance to win prizes worth HK$75,000 in total.
 
  • All visitors from 7pm onwards can enjoy free admission (excluding 6 January)
E-payment Offers
  • Octopus: Get HK$20 rebate on a HK$200 transaction (up to a maximum of 3 times per Octopus, i.e., a maximum of $60).
 
  • BoC Pay: Get HK$10 off for every HK$100 spending and HK$20 off for every HK$600 spending (each customer can enjoy each offer up to 3 times during the expo).
 
  • AlipayHK: Scan to receive daily limited gift coupons with HK$20 off for every HK$300 spent and additional offers.
 
  • Alipay: Scan to receive daily limited gift coupons with ¥15 off for every ¥300 spent, and ¥50 off for every ¥1,500 spent.
 
  • Upon spending HK$300 or above with electronic payment (with a maximum of two same-day receipts) will be entitled to one chance for lucky draws. Upon spending HK$600 or above (with a maximum of three receipts) will get two chances for lucky draws.
