CMA Delegation to Chongqing

CMA President Mr Irons Sze led a 44-member delegation to Chongqing from 29 April to 1 May. The delegation met with some senior government officials of Chongqing and attended the opening ceremony of “2014 The Hong Kong Trendy Products Expo, Chongqing” and Major events of “Chongqing Hong Kong Brand Festival”
On 29 April, the delegation met with Mr Huang Qifan, Mayor of Chongqing Municipal Government and Mr Liu Qiang, Vice Mayor of Chongqing Municipal Government. CMA President Mr Irons represented the CMA to speak at the occasion. After that, the delegation attended the dinner reception hosted by Chongqing Municipal Government, major attendees include Mr Huang Qifan, Mayor of Chongqing Municipal Government, Mr Liu Qiang, Vice Mayor of Chongqing Municipal Government, Mr Zhu Xiyan, Director-general of Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office of Chongqing, Mr Gregory So, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Hong Kong S.A.R, Mr Kenneth Mak, Director-General of Trade & Industry Department, HKAR and Mr Danny Lau, Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Chengdu.
On 30 April, the delegation attended the opening ceremony of “2014 The Hong Kong Trendy Products Expo, Chongqing”, CMA President Mr Irons delivered a speech during the ceremony. After that, the delegation attended the opening ceremony of “Chongqing Hong Kong Brand Festival”, CMA Vice President cum HKBDC Vice Chairman Mr Ng Ching Wun delivered a speech during the ceremony.
At noon, the delegation attended the lunch reception hosted by HKSAR government. CMA President Mr Irons accompanied Mr Sun Zhengcai, Secretary of CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, Mr Huang Qifan, Mayor of Chongqing Municipal Government, Mr Wu Zhenglong, Standing Committee Member of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, Mr Liu Qiang, Vice Mayor of Chongqing Municipal Government and Mr Gregory So, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Hong Kong S.A.R to visit “2014 The Hong Kong Trendy Products Expo, Chongqing” . The delegation also visited Dazu Rock Carvings (World Cultural Heritage Site).
On 1 May, the delegation met with Dr Johnson Lee, Secretary of Chongqing Banan District Committee of the CPC and Mr Chen Gang, Director of The People’s Government of Banan District of Chongqing, P.R.C and Enterprises Representatives to discuss how to further promote Chongqing ‧ Hong Kong Industrial. The delegation also attended the lunch reception hosted by The People’s Government of Banan District. The delegation came back to Hong Kong after lunch.
