2018 Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo, Macau Opens

Organised by the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA), the “2018 Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo, Macau (the Expo)” officially kicked off today (30 March) at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf Convention and Exhibition Centre. The grand opening ceremony was graced by the presence of a number of prominent figures from Hong Kong and Macau, including Mr Edward Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development in the HKSAR, Mr Cheng Wai Tong, Acting Director of Macao Government Tourism Office in the MSAR, Mr Chan Weng Tat, Head of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department, Economic Bureau in the MSAR, and Mr Steve Lee, the Promotional Ambassador of the Expo.  They were accompanied by CMA President Dr Dennis Ng.
Comprising 250 booths, the four-day expo will host four thematic zones including Fashion & Beauty Products Zone, Leisure Food Zone, Living & Household Products Zone and the newly introduced Health Preserving Food Zone. The Expo continues to offer a large number of special hot deals, including “up to 90% discount items” and “MOP $1 Product”.

To complement the quality products and attractive offers, a rich and diverse line-up of entertainment programmes is also arranged for the enjoyment of visitors. The promotional ambassador Mr Steve Lee will show his culinary skills and Miss Exhibition of 52nd Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo will perform during the Expo. In addition, “Shopping with Fun” Lucky Draw and Grand Lucky Draw will offer visitors a chance to win fabulous prizes, including home and kitchen appliances, and a top prize worth MOP $10,000. Visitors will be able to find tremendous value and experience a lot of holiday fun at the Expo.

At the ceremony, CMA President Dr Dennis Ng said, “2018 has a special meaning, not just because the Expo has been held for the 3rd consecutive year, but also because it is the first time for me to join this signature event as the CMA president. We are also celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo at the same time. Benefiting from the strong economy and stable growth in Macau’s tourist numbers, we wish this year’s Expo great success again.”
