Ready for the 51st Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo - 11,000 prizes are available to wow visitors

This winter, the Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo (HKBPE) will bring a splendid array of entertaining and meaningful programmes to all again.  Organised by the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA), this fun-filled brand extravaganza will run from Saturday, 10 December 2016 to Monday, 2 January 2017 at Victoria Park, Causeway Bay and will feature more than 880 booths to delight visitors from Hong Kong as well as around the world.  A press conference was held today to announce the details.

Entering its 51st edition, the HKBPE remains the local’s flagship expo by gathering over 400 exhibitors of home-grown brands and products in 11 thematic zones.  CMA President Dr Eddy Li said, “Under the theme of “Fabulous Brands, Amazing Expo”, this year’s event promises everything you’ve come to expect and more.”

Large number of exciting deals, super discounts and redemptions always take the spotlight at HKBPE. “Hong Kong people love to shop. With its diversity of exhibitors, HKBPE is a must-attend event for those who are looking for the best out of shopping. On the first day of expo (10 December), rice cookers, abalone and ginseng packs, cordyceps, soup packs are all available at HK$1. There is also a crazy offer of “HK$10 per inch” LED HDTV.  Many exhibitors will also offer huge bargains as high as 90% off that are hard to resist,” said President Li.  To ensure a safe and happy shopping experience, CMA will set up a queue area at the entrance near Sugar Street.  Visitors can queue up for these crazy offers from 9 December night. Staff will register with them in the morning of 10 December, and this will be handled on a first-come-first-served basis, while stock lasts.
CMA has launched recently the “Online HKBPE” on Yahoo Store to leverage on the online shopping trend and offer round-the-clock shopping experiences. To optimise the seamless O2O (online-to-offline) experience between the expo and the platform, “Online HKBPE” will roll out massive offers, covering selective $1 products and huge discounts up to 70% to 90% off on groceries and products from 2 to 20 December 2016. Customers who had made purchases on the online shop can collect the products at the physical booths in the expo on site.  Besides, 2,500 HKBPE admission tickets will be available for just $1 on Yahoo Deals.

Lifting up the spirit of HKBPE is a fun and easy to play game which give out 11,000 fabulous lucky draw prizes worth a total of HK$ 3,800,000.  Reflecting the Q & A Lucky Draw @ HKBPE theme, visitors can enter for a chance to win a prize by just answering a few questions that are related to the key events in the history and brand of Hong Kong and HKBPE.  

10 contestants of the Miss Exhibition Pageant kick-started the contest by taking part in today’s press conference.  The winner of the first award “The Most Eye-catching” was also elected.  The Pageant features 4 competitions and the results will be announced on the last day of the expo at the prize presentation ceremony.

In addition to the Pageant, visitors will be spoilt for choice with a packed calendar of entertainment and activities including a photo contest, Teen’s Short Film Ad Competition and Startup Biz, HKBPE Children Ambassadors Competiti
